How our scores work

Three scores, rated 1 to 10

Every area gets a transport, lifestyle and affordability score from 1 to 10, based on our own local research rather than a formula. The rent figures are typical rents from our research, treat as a guide.

Transport

How well connected the area is: tube, Overground, DLR and rail lines, bus routes and how long the trip into central London takes.

Lifestyle

What daily life offers: food, pubs, parks, markets, culture and how much of it sits within walking distance of the average flat.

Affordability

What you get for the rent compared with the rest of London. Higher scores mean your money stretches further.
